The only thing I see that needs to be replaced are the tires. In this auction you have a 1970's model Schwinn Collegiate 24" 3 speed. The bike will be carefully packed using a proper bicycle box and shipping via FedEx. We've had the bike in our collection for many years and have enjoyed it for special events. This model Schwinn Continental with the so called"Knight-head" decals was only produced for about a year to 16 months. It's called that because of the design, where you have to bend down to reach the shifter and presumably take your eyes off the road.

Bars and seat post/ clamp- Simplex derailleurs. 21 an 23" So that means this is officially a 23' frame. Frame size is approx 22" c-c) and 23" c-t) The Schwinn catalog says that the frames were only available in sizes 19. The wheels have been rebuilt with aluminum rims so it actually has working brakes! It does have scratches and some fading but basically it shows nicely and is the desirable coppertone color.

more Decals are all original and nearly perfect. It has most if not all of its original components. Continental bicycle(Worlds' first 10 speed bicycle! This bike is in fully working and riding condition.
